Prem review: Jason Gilmore banking on George Furbank to spearhead Harlequins’ push back to the top

Just two weeks before the start of the league season, Harlequins found themselves wrong-footed when head coach Danny Wilson left to join Wales’s management team.
They only found their step towards the end of the Premiership campaign, too late to avoid missing out on the Champions Cup.

Wilson’s departure, a couple of days before the opening Prem Cup match at Newcastle, led to a hasty reshuffle with Jason Gilmore combining Wilson’s job with his defence portfolio in a caretaker capacity.
