With Salut,

SO farewell Jean Salut – Monsieur Jean in French Rugby circles – who passed away this month aged 82.
The original diminutive blond bombshell flanker, Salut, right, is always seen as a prototype Jean-Pierre Rives, not least by the great man himself who admired him immensely watching him as a schoolboy and junior at the TOEC club in Toulouse, which back in the 60s and early 70s was the second club of the pink city and a reliable producer of outstanding talent for les rouges et noir. Salut played for both although his primary allegiance was always TOEC.
