We need to build on this – Rogerson

captain Matt Rogerson, making his 100th League appearance, said: “The last few results have got away from us a little. We lost the last four games from a combined total of ten points and we needed that win to get back on track. We have been performing in a way which suggests we could have won some of those games we lost.

“We knew Falcons would throw the kitchen sink after half-time, it was about settling down after that first ten minutes. We had to weather that storm and bounce right back. We had to get the momentum back, work our way up field and start scoring tries.

“Hopefully this win primes us up for Europe and on Friday, we need to used Europe to build on this momentum.”

coach Dave Walder said: “All the good things we have been doing the last few weeks, we didn't do. Kick errors and missed tackles.”
