Baxter: I don’t think a score was certain

ROB Baxter said he would not make an issue of the controversial penalty try,
The Exeter DoR commented: “I asked the ref as he came off the pitch what the rationale was for the penalty try… you still have to be in a position to score a try, and I’m not sure a definite try would have been scored there.
“Having said that, we have given away multiple penalties, and we had our opportunities to see the game out well before we got ourselves five metres from our own try-line. So, I’m not going to begrudge that.”
