SHELFORD’S unbeaten start to the season came to a surprise end as hosts Hertford ran out 21-14 winners to lift them up the table.
The game hung in the balance going into the final minute with the hosts holding a slender two-point advantage but a break upfield, David Hale’s kick ahead and the scorching pace of new addition Matisse Sorce saw them claim a third try at the death to wrap up the win.
