Peter Jackson revisits the remarkable 1946 Lions tour of Australia, highlighting the courage, resilience and extraordinary stories of the players who went unbeaten in a historic three-Test series.

Martin Johnson, a warrior who could never be accused of giving praise lightly, has paid fitting tribute to a noble pride of unsung Lions on the 80th anniversary of their expedition.

What 15 English players and 11 from Wales achieved in 1946 remains unique on two counts.
Firstly, they made the trip not aboard a luxury cruise liner or the business class of a 747 but on an aircraft carrier; secondly, they remain the only Lions of either code undefeated in a three-Test series in Australia, Wallabies or Kangaroos.
