THE reality of the Argentina game was that England managed to dig deep and raise their performance against a team that did not perform as well as they should have. Now they have to take the positives from it into today’s game against Japan in Nice in the next step to winning the pool.
It was a big England victory in a match which I had them down to lose, and the result against the Pumas represents a major turnaround. It was passionate and emotional, and afterwards that changing room would have been buzzing.
