I always try to be honest in what I write, but I just can’t believe that this year rugby is going to be any different from last. Yes, we all hope the new agreement between the Premiership and the RFU will have enough flexibility to ensure there will still be enough money left in the pot to allow the RFU to be able to give some financial support for the majority of the game (the grassroots) and hopefully more than they have over the past few years.
Will the new hybrid contracts help? Probably not. As I wrote last week, they really don’t offer anyth...
