I worry about Sevens which, having invested so much energy and emotion into securing Olympic status, seems to have become very Groundhog Day elsewhere and is in danger of losing its way.

I write this after catching up with some fairly soulless, seemingly sporadically attended action from the Singapore and Perth Legs of the new HSBC SVNS1 circuit, which has replaced the old World Series.
