DARREN Childs’ resignation as Premiership Rugby’s chief executive was another example of an Owners Group foul-up.
Its decision to appoint a corporate suit who had little knowledge of Rugby Union backfired badly, as Childs appeared to spend most of his less than two-year tenure stumbling from one crisis to another in a fog of confusion.
