Wales landed in Buenos Aires in time to witness a once-in-a-lifetime experience: Argentina teetering en masse towards a nervous breakdown over opponents from a distant land.
Their collective state of extreme anxiety had nothing to do with Los Pumas conceding seven tries to Scotland last week and even less with the arrival in their midst of a Welsh squad on a winning roll spanning all of two matches.
That the Egyptians almost stripped the holders of their most treasured trophy ensured the visitors touched down a long way beneath the radar.
