Blackheath hooker Billy Harding admits the moment he broke the National One try-scoring record is still a blur after crossing for his 43rd of a remarkable campaign.

The previous holder of the single-season try record for National One was Phil Chesters, who set the mark of 42 during the 2011/12 season playing for Ealing Trailfinders.
Harding’s consistency has been staggering, scoring in each of his first 21 games with the record broken in Blackheath’s 40-19 victory over Sale FC last weekend, which also maintained the Londoners’ promotion push.
