Jack van Poortvliet believes the way England finished their 2026 Six Nations campaign in France is their template going forward.

England lost the game in the last minute to a Thomas Ramos penalty, but they outscored France on tries 7-6 after stodgy displays in the three previous rounds.
“Clearly, we did not want to leak that number of points, but it was the template for how we want to attack,” said Leicester Tigers scrum-half van Poortvliet, who came on as a replacement against France.
“One thing I have learned in my career so far is that rugby changes in a short period of time.”
