British and Irish Lions: It’s like the good old days says Owen Farrell

Owen Farrell has caught up with two long-term rivals on the current Lions tour in Johnny Sexton and Finn Russell and revealed it is like the good old days.

Three of Britain and Ireland's greatest fly-halves are in Australia with Sexton a kicking coach, Russell the Test starter at 10 and Farrell the late arrival who forced his way on to the bench for yesterday’s second Test.

Farrell toured Australia and New Zealand with Sexton in 2013 and 2017, and saw Russell briefly eight years ago in Kiwi Land, when the Scot was part of the Geography Six, then went to South Africa with him in 2021.
