A MUCH improved second-half performance saw Westcombe Park eventually overcome a spirited Havant side who looked like providing an upset for much of the game.
Both sides were flat in a first-half littered with mistakes and interrupted by numerous infringements. Havant had marginally the better of the play and benefitted from a lack of Combe discipline in the tackle and at the breakdown.
This was converted into points when Havant took the lead through Joel Knight’s boot to make it 0-3after 15 minutes.
