Mako Vunipola has been ruled out of England’s 33-man World Cup squad due to a back injury.
The 32-year-old was ruled out of Saracens’ Premiership final win back in May and has lost his race to be fit in time for England’s squad announcement tomorrow.
Head coach Steve-Borthwick said: “At this stage Mako (Vunipola) doesn’t look like he’s going to be in a status to be ready to be selected on Monday.
“That’s one we’re monitoring but we know throughout the tournament that changes may happen.”
