All referees in the Prem apply laws correctly

I MUST take issue with Derek Gilbert’s assertion (letters 16/10/2022) that referees in the Premiership are abdicating in law and manufacturing results.
This is a slight on the professionalism and integrity of members of the PGMOT (Professional Game Match Officials Team). There is not a referee operating at this level who feels that he needs to “even up” a game that is one sided to make the spectacle exciting.
