Rona calls for ‘golden try’ to boost excitement

CURTIS Rona has urged rugby chiefs to adopt a “golden try” system to resign “unhappy” draws to history.
The former Wallaby who is now at London Irish believes it is time to ensure contests end in a positive result for one team or another – and in doing so add some extra edge and excitement to the sport.
Australia’s NRL use a ‘golden point’ while an extra overtime period is played in NFL games to find a winner.
