The last thing that Warren Gatland thought he’d have to do before flying to South Africa this week was appointing a new captain. If it is going to be a tough call for the coach, just think how poor old Alun Wyn Jones must be feeling.
It was great seeing him on the pitch at the end of the win over Japan and smiling with his teammates. That’s the measure of the man – the team comes first and foremost.
