Wasps to promote from within to find successor for defence coach Ian Costello

WASPS boss Lee Blackett has dropped a major hint that they will not be looking outside the club to replace departing defence coach Ian Costello.

Last month Wasps announced Costello was joining Munster as Academy manager after spending three years at the Rioch Arena.
Wasps initially sent out an email asking for coaches interested to send in their CVs, but it would now appear that Matt Everard will be taking on the role.
“We knew Cossy was going back either this year or next, and we’ve got a long-term plan. Something has been put in place for a long time,” said Blackett.
