Super Rugby Aotearoa: Fightback puts end to Chiefs misery

 

AFTER suffering 11 consecutive Super Rugby losses, the Chiefs ended their Aotearoa misery as Luke Jacobson’s late close-range try gave them a 35-29 away win at Hurricanes.
Chiefs’ star players – Damian McKenzie, Brad Weber and captain Sam Cane – stepped up in the second half to guid a memorable comeback win after trailing 26-7 at half-time.
Head coach Clayton McMillan said: “We’re relieved more than anything. I’m proud of the resilience and the fight in the boys.”
