BRUMBIES remain unbeaten in Super Rugby AU after Ryan Lonergan kicked a 55-metre penalty to clinch victory over the Rebels.
Lonergan’s heroics at the death averted the game going to ‘super time’ and snatched the reigning champions a 27-24 win in Canberra.
It was the second week in a row where the Rebels were left to stew after the final whistle following Matt Toomua’s last-gasp missed shot at goal last weekend as the Rebels fell to defeat against the Reds in Brisbane.
