LEINSTER extended their winning run over the Dragons to nine as Dean Ryan’s side fell to their seventh successive defeat.
On their last visit to Wales, Leinster racked up over 50 points in hammering Scarlets, so Dragons, with only two members of their first choice pack, must have feared the worst.
However, a brave performance from the Men of Gwent gave the reigning champions an almighty scare.
Dragons deservedly led 15-14 at the interval but two yellow cards for forwards Lloyd Fairbrother and Dan Baker ruined their chances as Leinster scored 21 points in their absence.
