Is Farrell still untouchable?

I’M starting to question Owen Farrell’s place in the team. What does he bring that others do not? At flyhalf he is mostly a kicking player and at 12 he is more or less the same.
England have exciting backs but if they never get passed to, what’s the point? With George Ford or someone like him at 10 we have a player who will advance and threaten the opposition. With Farrell there the opposition knows he generally does not pose too much of an attacking threat.
Are his kicking abilities really any better than the others? Also sometimes Farrell’s tackles leave a lot...
