Dai’s glad he skipped class for the Scarlets

DAI FLANAGAN’S career has skyrocketed since he swapped coaching children in a Newport school for tutoring Wales and Lions superstars at the Scarlets.
The former Cardiff Blues, Ospreys and Pontypridd fly-half ended his playing career with a glut of trophies at Sardis Road in 2014 for a stint in front of the blackboard at Newport.
After taking on the teaching role Flanagan says he could never have envisaged working alongside the likes of Leigh Halfpenny, Liam Williams and Jonathan Davies on a daily basis.
