Parks: I’d have taken pay cut to save Celtic Warriors

RUGBY has to face up to the reality of pay cuts or the game at professional level could be destined for even darker times.
That’s the verdict of former Wales flanker and international adventurer Richard Parks, who knows all about the difficulties that can follow from drastic financial decisions in the sport.
When he was at the peak of his powers he turned down a contract at Premiership side Leeds to stay loyal to play for the new Welsh region, Celtic Warriors.
