Crowley try double gets Irish title defence off to a flyer

FLY-HALF Jack Crowley capped a man of the match performance with a stunning try double as Ireland got the defence of their U20 title off in style.
Ireland ran in six tries to claim the bonus point at Irish Independent Park but led only 14-12 approaching half-time Crowley’s longrange score proved the turning point.
Ireland kicked on with a brilliant breakaway try from Thomas Ahern and scores from Andrew Smith and John McKee.
Scotland kept fighting and earned a losing bonus point with Cameron Scott’s try deep into added time.
