Canada snub gets lead Pirate hungry for battle

BRETT Beukeboom is eager for action with Cornish Pirates after missing out on a place in Canada’s World Cup squad.
The former ice hockey player, has won 32 caps, was deemed surplus to requirements by coach Kingsley Jones this year.
“They haven’t been in touch in a few months,” said Brett who is happier talking about the Pirates as they prepare to enter a new era under recently-returned DoR Chris Stirling.
