AUSTRALIA displayed huge guts and determination to beat Argentina and reach only their second ever final despite playing 40 minutes with 14 men.
For the entire second half, the Junior Wallabies were without scrum-half Michael McDonald, who was sent off for receiving two yellow cards, both for dangerous tackles with the second preventing Argentina wing Rodrigo Isgro from scoring.
The resulting penalty try on the verge of the break was met with rapturous applause by the home crowd as an eventful first half finished 17-13 to Australia.
