STEVE HANSEN has been dealt a major blow ahead of the All Blacks series against France by being told not to risk captain Kieran Read.
The No.8 has been sidelined since December following an operation to try and correct a long-running lower back problem, and Hansen has been advised not to rush Read back into action by the player’s club head coach, Scott Robertson.
“There is no race for him to be there,” the Crusaders boss said, “just to make it easier for him to be really clear. It’s going to be post-June when he is ready.”
