‘Fantastic culture created by Vern’

SCOTLAND captain John Barclay was lavish in his praise of departing coach Vern Cotter. “It is hard to put into words what Vern has put into the team. He is a good man and you can hear the crowd. He has made a fantastic contribution to Scottish rugby and built a fantastic culture within the team and he will be humble about it all. “We wanted to finish on a high especially after last week. We really wanted to give the coaching team a good send-off. We had to dust ourselves off after a loss like the England one and set the record straight.”
