Sale Sharks have today announced that Sam James has extended his current contract by two years.
The centre, 22, broke into the first team at the start of the current season and has been a regular ever since with a host of standout performances.
He said: “I was more than happy to sign a new deal with the club I grew up with. I am looking forward to the rest of this season as we have plenty to play for and the next two seasons too.”
Director of Rugby Steve Diamond commented: “Sam is maturing into a class player. He is a dedicated professional who absorbs all the information and guidance that the coaches and senior players throw at him.”
