Bristol and Cornish Pirates win in Championship

Bristol remained at the top of the Greene King IPA Championship thanks to a 26 -17 win over Rotherham at Ashton Gate today.
Chris Brooker, the returning George Watkins, Glenn Townson and Max Crumpton all went over to secure the try bonus-point as well as the win while Sean Scanlon and Alex Rieder scored for the Titans.
Down in Penzance, the Cornish Pirates ran in nine tries to thump Bedford 65-14.
Wing Kieran Goss was the pick of the bunch with two tries to his name while Max Bodily, Tom Kessell, Alex Dancer, Craig Holland, Rheon James, Stuart Townsend and Laurence May all got one.
Henry Staff and captain Paul Tupai made sure the Blues did not end the game scoreless with a try each mid-way through the second half.
