Exiles bolster back row options

have reinforced their back-row options by signing former U20s flanker Gregor Gillanders on a one-year contract.
The 27-year-old, who is also Scottish-qualified, has a wealth of experience having made more than 150 appearances for during a six year spell.
Gillanders played alongside current London Scottish head coach James Buckland as a youngster at Tigers.
Buckland said: “We were aware that Gregor was available in the off season and with Ben Russell unfortunately having to retire, it was important to quickly fill the void with a quality, proven Championship performer.
“He is used to playing at the top end of the Championship and was heavily involved during Bedford's great season a couple of years ago.
“He can do a job in the second row as well as the back-row and has that resilient, gritty character which is what we are looking for at London Scottish.”
“As a young lad at Leicester I remember him being very talented and skilful. He remains ambitious and determined to impress and I'm pleased to bring him to the Club.”
Gillanders said: “I know Bucks from our time at Leicester and I was delighted to get the call from him.
“It is a great opportunity to again play rugby for a side competing near the top of the Championship. The set-up is brilliant and it was a very easy decision to sign.”
