RFU needs to cover more travel costs

I WOULD LIKE to take issue with last week’s letter form Mr Serpell of Redruth RUFC.
It is totally wrong to link the plight of Macclesfield, Lymm & Chester with that of Redruth on a purely geographical basis and say Redruth travel further. Yes, they do but that is not the point.
Had all three Cheshire clubs been allowed to play in a 16-club N2N this season, taking Chester as the furthest west, Chester would have played eight clubs in N2N who are within 70 miles travel.
