It’s time to give new franchise system a chance

THERE are those who constantly focus on negatives regarding the new franchised Prem model but the financial gulf between the top tier and Champ has widened well beyond the means of the game to bridge it without, somehow, bringing more money into the game.
This cannot be achieved without significant changes taking place and carping about these before they’ve had a chance to be tested will not improve the prospects of them working.
No-one, to my knowledge has come up with any remotely feasible alternatives, so let’s see what happens over the next couple of seasons.
