This exhibitionism is too much for me

NICK Cain is quite right (February 15) to draw attention to those elements in our game promoting ‘showbiz’ rugby.
He wrote in the context of lawmakers downgrading the set scrum but the governing bodies of all the Six Nations are actively promoting this trend. How else can one explain the crass and vulgar spectacle that now precedes all matches; the racket from the PA system both ‘music’ and screamingly demented announcers. Each union seems to be trying to outdo each other in their tasteless exhibitionism.
