Champions but without a trophy

CARDIFF RFC won the Welsh Premiership championship by six points, but they won no trophy because somebody in the Welsh Rugby Union in their wisdom decided that the overall winners of the league would be decided by a play-off system between the top four teams. Thus second placed Llandovery RFC beat Cardiff RFC in the final last Sunday and were classed as champions and got a trophy with it.
