Faltering Farrell in doldrums

THE England v Wales game was (I hope) the start of something positive for our national team, providing the constant, and sometimes pointless kicking is reined in.
Whether it will be in time for the World Cup is up for debate. It’s a positive step, in stark contrast to the Jones era of caution and indecision, but isn’t it time Marcus Smith started a game, in place of a faltering Owen Farrell?
I’m a big fan of Farrell. He is a very fine and fearless player, but he seems to be in the doldrums at the moment, at least as far as his kicking off the tee is concerned.
