NFL is usurping rugby fan base

APART from Six Nations coverage for five weeks a year there is no Rugby Union on the BBC, ITV, or any other terrestrial television channel in the UK, despite it being one of the most popular team sports in the country after football.
That’s why it’s a travesty when American Football, a foreign sport with virtually no players, clubs, or community footprint in the UK – which was rated in a 2018 YouGov survey of British adults as the second-dullest sport to watch – has two programmes a week on BBC1 and BBC2.
