Maro may have lost but he was star man

WHY do TV’s rugby pundits always give the Man of the Match award only to a player from the winning team?
I was a ‘neutral’ watching the Exeter v Saracens game last Saturday, and it was frustrating to see the award given to Exeter hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie when Maro Itoje was the best player on the pitch by a country mile.
It’s about time that the apparent taboo of giving the Man of the Match to a player from the losing side was broken and give credit where credit's due.
