Bingo calling former pros get my back up

I LOOK forward to expert, almost forensic opinion on the action.
Instead I hear mostly former internationals talking of a guy having a great game at 6, another starring at 9 while the 10 had a brilliant kicking game etc.
Why do we pander to these antipodean traits? I may be old school Welsh but to me its blindside wing forward, scrum and outside-half – it’s like listening to them analysing a game of bingo.
