Expand Premiership to 14 teams

ON the discussion of ringfencing the Premiership I would prefer to keep relegation but, for one season only, have no relegation and promote two teams making a 14-team Premiership. Then revert to one up, one down the next season. This would mean a very competitive Championship with no obvious promotion contenders while also still allowing all clubs the opportunity to join the Premiership – and if they are good enough, to stay there. If the recommendations of splitting the Championship into two conferences is taken up it would give a major boost to the second tier.
