Griffiths could be the man to save Tier 2

ED Griffiths could be making a comeback as a troubleshooter for the Championship, with the aim of securing finance for the English second tier clubs following the news of swingeing RFU cuts to their funding.
Griffiths has a flair for marketing – or at least he did as the young chief executive of the South African Rugby Union who came up with the “Rainbow Nation” concept when they hosted the 1995 World Cup – and there is no question the Championship requires a promotional supercharge.
