I THOUGHT the BT Sports pundits were a bit OTT in their predictions of the prospects of Bristol this season based on one win (43-16) against a badly depleted Bath side, with Zach Mercer on one leg for most of the match and being reduced to 13 men by a yellow card and an injury when the bench was empty.
A fully fit side with no RWC absentees took full advantage and earned their BP victory, but let’s wait till teams are back to full strength and the inevitable injuries to their big money signings take their toll before making Top 4/Top 6 claims.
