CVC deal could spell big trouble

NEWS that Premiership clubs have now completed a £220m deal with the private equity firm CVC represents the biggest con job in English rugby history.
Jeff Probyn wrote recently in TRP that such a deal should immediately see RFU funding removed from those clubs, subject to existing contracts. He was right.
