Lions legend was just Sir to all of us

I SAW a piece in your paper about John Dawes and the Lions, but to a lot of people he was just Sir, as he was a teacher of chemistry and PE for a while in the 70s at Lampton School in Hounslow.
I remember a bit about rugby but not a lot about chemistry! I do remember him as being a funny teacher but hard when he needed to be.
If anyone is in contact with him, please tell him we all say hi, we just had a conversation about him on our school facebook page.
