Cowling was as durable as they come

PROPS are a law unto themselves, renowned for their hardness and durability, and that would certainly sum up Robin Cowling, below, who died earlier this week aged 82.
A son of the soil, born in Ipswich and a farmer in Gloucestershire and then Cornwall, a game of rugby was just another shift for Cowling, and he took everything in his stride.
