THE late Diego Maradona – and what a fly-half he would have made – became a big supporter of the Pumas and was in almost daily contact with his friend Gus Pichot and the team during RWC2007.Eight years later he seized a rare opportunity to attend a Test in person at their pool match against Tonga at Leicester City’s ground. Skipper Gus Creevy was on hand to make the introductions in the changing room after the Pumas 45-16 win.
