Tomás O’Leary will be out of action for “between four and six months” with a back injury.
The London Irish scrum-half underwent a surgical procedure on his lower back last Tuesday for a degenerative pre-existing injury that has deteriorated this season.
O’Leary’s last appearance for London Irish was against Harlequins at the Madejski Stadium on October 28.
